By accessing or using the WPIL website and Services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
About WPIL
WPIL is a curatorial and editorial registry platform. We may accept submissions, nominations, and materials for consideration. WPIL may publish selected practices/projects and related editorial content. Selection is discretionary and editorial.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms under applicable law. If you are using the Services on behalf of a studio, company, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
Accounts and Communications
- Some features may require providing contact details.
- You agree that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
- We may send operational messages related to submissions, publication, events, or service changes.
- Marketing communications, if any, will follow applicable consent rules.
Submissions, Nominations, and Materials You Provide
You may submit or nominate content, including text, images, drawings, renders, photographs, videos, credits, and related information (“Submitted Material”). You are responsible for ensuring Submitted Material is complete, accurate, and appropriately credited.
Rights You Must Have
You represent and warrant that you own the Submitted Material or have all necessary rights, permissions, and releases to provide it to WPIL and to allow the uses described in these Terms. This includes rights for images of people, private properties where required, brand marks where relevant, and any third-party copyright materials.
License to WPIL
- You retain ownership of your submitted material.
- You grant WPIL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, host, store, archive, adapt for formatting (without changing meaning), publish, display, distribute, and publicly perform the Submitted Material for the following purposes: reviewing and evaluating submissions; fact-checking and editorial processing; publishing registry entries and editorial features; promoting WPIL and the published work across WPIL channels; and maintaining an archival record of the registry.
Attribution and Integrity
We will make reasonable efforts to attribute credits as provided in the submission format. You agree that WPIL may edit for clarity, length, and consistency of presentation without misrepresenting authorship or credits. WPIL does not guarantee publication of any submission.
Editorial Independence and Selection
WPIL reserves full editorial discretion. Submission does not guarantee selection, publication, or continued availability. We may remove or update published entries where necessary for accuracy, legal compliance, editorial standards, or platform integrity.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by submitting false or misleading information, infringing intellectual property, violating privacy or publicity rights, uploading malicious code, attempting unauthorised access, harassing others, or using the platform to solicit or spam.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or tools. WPIL is not responsible for third-party services, content, or policies.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” WPIL does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. WPIL does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice through the Services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WPIL and its officers, directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services or these Terms. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum permitted by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold WPIL harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your submitted material, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Services, including claims of infringement or rights violations.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for others, or compromised platform integrity. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections relating to licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are posted.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
